Aside from the usual Filipino foods that we’re all aware of, Korean foods are already taking over our taste buds. Nowadays, it is possible to see any Korean restaurants and food stalls anywhere that’s why it’s very common to the people of all ages.
The impact of the Korean wave also adds to the conclusion to why most Filipinos are now consuming a foreign taste and idea. Especially the millennials, they are the main target of why the popularity of the Korean culture is dominating the scene.
If we can see and observe the environment today, we can tell that almost all Filipinos love to fantasize and welcome other culture.
So, here I listed my top 5 best Korean food. Whenever we go to a Korean restaurant or go to Korean town I always need to eat at least one of it. These Korean foods are my usual go-to and I could never go wrong with theme.
Top 5
Bingsu
I scream for dessert! Bingsu is a shaved ice with toppings and is a popular snack food found almost everywhere in Korea during the summer months. Here, if we have Halo-halo for summer, Korean also have they Bingsu to cope up with the heat. It is good after you had your meal and be delighted with all the toppings and milk it has. You can choose from different flavors depending on your taste.

Top 4
Ramyeon
You can never go wrong with this! Ramyeon is basically an instant noodles just like the normal instant noodles we have here. But, I think what it makes it so good is that the Korean noodles has more texture and flavors than us. They have a good set of different flavors to choose from and you can also be as creative as you want on how you want to do your Ramyeon. It’s the best if you have Kimchi or Fermented Vegetables.

Top 3
Japchae (Stir Fried Noodles)
Often served as a side dish during lunch or dinner, japchae is a traditional Korean noodle dish made up of stir-fried sweet potato, thinly shredded vegetables, beef, and a hint of soy sauce and sugar Japchae is known for its sweet and flavorful taste and its soft yet slightly chewy texture. I always have it when we eat Samgyeopsal, it’s like a Pansit but in a Korean style.

Top 2
Kimbap
When you are addicted to Korean shows – dramas or varieties, for sure you know Kimbap. It’s that small rolled seaweed with cooked rice on it and all other ingredients. So it is basically all in one, you have your viand and your rice. I enjoyed eating this whenever I feel like “Korean” and also when I’m watching Korean shows. You can have a lot of varieties with this one. Just be creative in making your Kimbap.

Top 1
Samgyeopsal
My top 1!This food introduced me to a lot more of Korean foods. It’s like the start of why I enjoyed eating Korean food with different taste from the usual. This food, is basically heaven (kidding aside), Samgyeopsal is a pork belly consists of grilled slices of pork meat that are not marinated or seasoned. They are commonly dipped in seasoning made of salt and pepper mixed in sesame seed oil, and then wrapped in lettuce along with grilled slices of garlic, grilled slices of onion, and kimchi. Samgyeopsal, for me is the best with its taste and all of its side dishes. Also it’s the best if you’re striving to death with its affordability, you can have it UNLIMITED depends on the store. We always eat whenever we feel like celebrating something or even wanting to eat a lot but fit with the budget.

So, that is my go-to Korean Food and for me it is the best! Comment below on what you can say about it and write what I should try next so that my list would have an addition.
